Data the site collects

The site collects only what's needed to function and, subject to your consent, anonymous usage analytics and marketing data.

Essential cookies

No tracking cookie is set without your consent. A single functional entry stores your consent choice in your browser's local storage. It's not sent to any server.

Analytics (with your consent)

If you accept, the site uses Google Analytics to measure how pages are used in aggregate. This includes:

No health information, name, or email address is sent to Google through this channel. Event retention is set to 14 months.

Marketing (with your consent)

If you accept, Google Ads may use your visit data to show relevant ads elsewhere on the web (remarketing). No health-related information is used for ad personalization.

Data collected during booking

Appointment booking is handled by OneDoc (Centina SA, Lausanne, Switzerland). When you book through the widget embedded on this site, OneDoc collects information needed for clinical care:

OneDoc processes this data as a sub-processor. It's passed to me to enable clinical care, and retained in line with Swiss legal requirements for patient records (typically 10 years). OneDoc's own privacy policy applies in addition: www.onedoc.ch/en/privacy-policy.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., United States). Technical access logs (IP, browser type) may be retained briefly by the host for security purposes.

International transfers

Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Cloudflare operate from the United States. Transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework, mechanisms recognized as providing an adequate level of protection for data transferred outside Switzerland and the European Union.

Your rights

Under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP, in force since 1 September 2023), you have the following rights:

To change your cookie choices, use the Cookies link in the footer. For anything else, email dimitris@messinis.ch. You'll get a response within a reasonable time, typically 30 days.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern.
